The Atlas WB-55 3D has a 19 inch LED LCD digital flat screen that displays high resolution tire and wheel images, providing a clear "picture" of tire/wheel assembly and out of balance condition. The Atlas WB55 incorporates the InstaInput (I/I) measuring system that automatically enters all three parameters (rim size, rim width, and distance of rim from machine) when the operator touches the inside and outside of the mounted rim with the built-in measuring rods. The Atlas SmartSelector (S/S) allows the operator to turn one knob and select the desired balancing mode. The seven (7) second spin time is extremely fast and the Atlas software combined with a sophisticated measuring system delivers unparalleled accuracy.
The Atlas WB55 is very a simple, yet sophisticated wheel balancer. Each electrical component part is virtually "plug and play" so repair is easy when it is time to replace parts. The Atlas WB55 is capable of self-diagnosing problems and displays error codes so the operator can make the necessary adjustments or repairs in his own shop. There is no need to wait for the high priced service technician to visit your store. The simplicity of the Atlas WB55, both in ease of use and ease of repair, make this balancer the perfect choice for your professional tire shop.
The WB49 has the automatic data entry feature not found on the Atlas WB41 . The measuring guide rod for the automatic data entry is also used to determine the placement of wheel weights when used with the "split-weight" feature of the WB49. The WB41 does not have the split weight feature programmed into its software.
Many custom rims have decorative spokes and certain customers do not want any wheel weights to be "seen" on these fancy wheels. The only place to "hide" the stick-on weights is behind the spokes of the wheel.
The "split-weight" feature allows the operator to "split" the correct amount of weight and "hide" these weights behind the spokes. The measuring guide rod is used to pinpoint the placement of the weights and the WB49's software determines the amount of weight that needs to be applied.
Auxiliary Brake Pedal: Atlas Wheel Balancer has a foot pedal auxiliary brake that allows the operator to hold the wheel assembly in the correct position when attaching the wheel weight to the rim.
Newly Designed Computer Board: This Atlas Wheel Balancer uses a newly designed computer board system that makes replacement of the computer board as easy as plug and play. Many of the Asian manufacturers are using computer technology that is over ten years old. All of the Atlas balancers are implementing the newest and most reliable computer technology available. This improved technology is one of the many reasons that Atlas balancers will provide years of reliable service. This is a self-calibrating computer wheel balancer. There is no need to calibrate the balancer each morning when you turn it on.
Multi User Function: The multi user function allows up to four technicians to use the Atlas WB-55 at virtually the same time while keeping each technician's preferences!
Assume that four technicians are working on four different sets of tires/wheels off of four different vehicles in the shop. Each technician chooses his own user number and the specifications for his tire/wheel assemblies. These are logged into his own user account. This great feature allows each user to enter the specs of his tire/wheel assembly and retrieve this information by selecting his user name.
CE Tested And Approved
Wheel Weight Positioning Modes: The Atlas WB-55 has two static modes which allows the operator to correct the imbalance with either clip on weights or adhesive weights.
An exclusive Atlas software program allows the operator to choose from seven (7) ALU (aluminum wheel) settings so that the weights can easily "be hidden" behind the spokes. Most wheel balancers only offer the option of using adhesive weights in the ALU mode, but the Atlas WB-55 has two additional ALU modes that provide accurate information to balance the tire/wheel with clip on weights.
