The Atlas WB77 is the most technologically advanced wheel balancer in the full line of Atlas computerized wheel balancers. The WB77 offers features that can only be found on other BIG NAME computer wheel balancers costing several thousands of dollars more. The DM (direct measurement) technology is the key to the simplicity and accuracy of the Atlas WB77 wheel balancer. Many BIG NAME computer wheel balancers have some variation of direct measurement technology that is based upon wheel parameters. The Atlas WB77 uses whole cycle direct measurement technology which is based upon where the wheel weight will be applied and NOT on the wheel parameters. These wheel weight locations are automatically calculated by the Measuring Arms.
The Atlas 3-D WB77 has a 24 inch LED LCD digital flat screen that displays high resolution tire and wheel images to provide a clear "picture" of wheel parameters, balance condition and weight placement. All measurement functions and out of balance conditions are clearly displayed. Weight placement is simple to determine. The amount of weight needed is conveniently spoken and displayed.
The ATLAS S-Drive technology automatically rotates the wheel/tire assembly so that it is in the exact position needed to both clean a placement location and then to attach a Stick-On Weight. If Stick-On Weights are being used, there is a special placement feature that is located at the end of the Inner Measuring Arm which helps the operator place weight on the wheel in the exact spot required. An LED light automatically illuminates the barrel of the wheel for cleaning areas where Stick-On Weights will be applied.
The software allows up to 3 different operators to use the balancer at the same time.
S-DRIVE: The brains which control the 3 Phase Electric Motor that provides smooth, gradual acceleration and electronic braking to reduce vibration. The S-Drive also automatically positions the wheel for weight placement or barrel cleaning.
AutoALU: The correct weight configuration options are automatically determined by where the gauges measure the wheel
PowerGuard: Internal overvoltage protection
SmartSelector: (S/S) allows the operator to turn one knob and select the desired balancing mode. The Atlas software combined with a sophisticated measuring system delivers unparalleled accuracy.
Rapid Optimization (OPT): Provides measurement and guidance for mounting wheel and tire to provide best possible ride.
Split-Weight: The Inner Measurement Arm, used for the automatic data entry function, is also used to determine the placement of wheel weights when using the ":split-weight:" feature of the WB77. Many custom rims have decorative spokes. And, many customers do not want any wheel weights to be "seen" on these fancy wheels. The only place to "hide" the stick-on weights is behind the spokes of the wheel. The ":split-weight:" feature allows the operator to "split " the correct amount of weight and "hide" these weights behind the spokes.
The Atlas WB77 is capable of self-diagnosing problems and displays Error messages which alert operators to necessary adjustments or repairs that they can perform right in the shop. There is no need to wait for the high priced service technician to visit your store. The simplicity of the Atlas WB77, both in ease of use and ease of repair, make this balancer the perfect choice for your professional tire shop.
Automatic LED Light: The Automatic LED light illuminates the wheel barrel for cleaning and applying the wheel weights.
Newly Designed Computer Board: This Atlas Wheel Balancer uses a newly designed computer board system that makes replacement of the computer board as easy as plug and play. Many of the Asian manufacturers are using computer technology that is over ten years old. All of the Atlas balancers are implementing the newest and most reliable computer technology available. This improved technology is one of the many reasons that Atlas balancers will provide years of reliable service. This is a self-calibrating computer wheel balancer. There is no need to calibrate the balancer each morning when you turn it on.
CE Tested and Approved
Multi User Function: The multi user function allows up to three technicians to use the Atlas WB-77 at virtually the same time while keeping each technician's preferences!
Assume that three technicians are working on three different sets of tires/wheels off of three different vehicles in the shop. Each technician chooses his own user number and the specifications for his tire/wheel assemblies. These are logged into his own user account. This great feature allows each user to enter the specs of his tire/wheel assembly and retrieve this information by selecting his user name.
